1 box yellow cake mix
1 large can crushed pineapple
1 cup sugar
2 pgs. instant lemon pie filling
1 large Cool Whip
1 1/2 cup shredded coconut
1 1/2 cup chopped nuts
In large pan bake cake mix according to directions. Before cake is done, combine pineapple, with juice, and sugar in a pan and boil rapidly for 2 to 3 minutes.
When cake is done, punch holes in cake and pour boiled mixture over the entire top. Let cake cool.
Mix lemon pie filling according to package, spread over cake. Spread the Cool Whip over the pie filling, sprinkle coconut and then the nuts on top. Press down gently with your hand.
