Dinner Rolls

7 cups flour
2 eggs
1/2 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
1 cup evaporated milk
1 cup warm water
1 1/2 tsp salt
2 pkgs yeast (be sure to check date)
1/2 cup warm water (110°)

Preheat oven to 400° F.

Soften yeast in the 1/2 cup warm water. Combine milk, sugar, shortening and salt. Add 1 1/2 cups of flour; beat well. Beat in yeast mixture and egg. Gradually add remaining flour to form soft dough, beating well.

Place in greased bowl, turning once to grease surface, cover and let rise till dough doubles (approx. 1 1/2 hours).

Turn out on lightly floured surface knead well and shape as desired.

Cover shaped rolls and let rise till double. Bake in greased container 12 to 15 min.
